Fifty kilometers away from the hustle and bustle of Kampala city, within the complex of the Mehta Group in Lugazi lies Villa Annona. Villa Annona is nestled on the edge of the Mehta Golf Course, a challenging 15 hole course meandering through a picturesque valley of Lugazi sugar estate, set amidst the greenery of hundreds of acres of lush sugarcane plantation.

Stylish interiors by Jaimini Patel of Artizans, Kenya, create a contemporary but homely ambience in the nine double bedrooms and two suites of the guesthouse. A quaint dining room serves healthy vegetarian meals on set menu basis, using the best fresh ingredients.

A small meeting room is available to guests. Meeting and seminars for larger groups along with catering can also be arranged on request.

Villa Annona is the ideal venue for both corporate and personal outings, whether it be executive retreats, seminars, team building events, birthday parties or just weekend getaway.

The kid’s adventure club offers an outdoor play park and walking trails through sugarcane plantations and through Lugazi’s prized botanical nature walk. This is a kaleidoscopic landscape of hundreds of varieties of flora and fauna, indigenous as well as rare species of plants and trees, nut orchards and a variety of tropical fruits.

Among these is the exotic Annona fruit, a sweet and soar pulpy fruit from the family of Custard Apples, from which Villa Annona gets its name.

Several games are also available – badminton, table tennis, cycling and golf. I

The source of the Nile located in Jinja, and the Mabira forest nearby also offer exciting opportunities for boating, hiking, cycling and various other activities.
