More than 130 golfers from diverse sectors joined members of ISU to enjoy a day of golf, social connection and awareness-raising for our scholarship programme.

On September 21, 2024, the International School of Uganda (ISU) had the pleasure of engaging with the Kampala golf community at our inaugural ISU Scholarship Golf Tournament, hosted at the scenic Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort and Spa. More than 130 golfers from diverse sectors joined members of ISU to enjoy a day of golf, social connection, and awareness-raising for our scholarship programme, which supports talented Ugandan students who aspire to further their education and contribute to their communities.

Empowering Future Leaders through the ISU Scholarship

Since 2010, the ISU Scholarship Programme has provided Ugandan students with potential for excellence the opportunity to experience a world-class education at ISU, with the support to continue their academic journey in higher education beyond ISU.

These students, recognized for their academic promise, emotional maturity, and exceptional talents, join our community for 3-4 years, supported with college counselling and guidance to secure university scholarships within East Africa and internationally.

Learning, Leading and Giving Back

As a non-profit institution and an International Baccalaureate World School, ISU supports over 590 students from early childhood through grade 12. Guided by our mission to foster a diverse community of learners, we cultivate a culture of belonging, opportunity, and challenge.

Since 2010, the ISU Scholarship Programme has provided Ugandan students with potential for excellence the opportunity to experience a world-class education at ISU, with the support to continue their academic journey in higher education beyond ISU.

This mission comes to life through opportunities like our scholarship programme, which not only transforms the lives of scholarship students but also demonstrates to all ISU students the impact of community engagement and giving back. Through service learning and community projects, students develop practical skills while making a difference in society—reflecting our holistic approach to education.

We extend our gratitude to all our sponsors and everyone who participated in the tournament. We look forward to welcoming you to our upcoming Gala Event in January 2025, as we continue to support and celebrate the future leaders of Uganda.
