Ladies and Gentlemen;

It is indeed a great honor to have all of you here today, and on behalf of NCBA bank, the distinguished members of Entebbe Golf Club and all the passionate Golfers in Uganda and the region, I welcome you to this Award Ceremony which is the culmination of a wonderful day of golf. 

At NCBA we are delighted to be associated with the annual NCBA Golf Series because we believe in inspiring Greatness in all its forms, whether as a player or a spectator and today I believe that all of us in one way or the other, have had an exhilarating and fulfilling time playing competitively or rooting for your favorite golfer.

Indeed, our commitment to this tournament and to pursue the path to Greatness is not by accident because it’s firmly embedded in the ethos of the NCBA Brand and is a key driving force in all our business endeavors in Uganda and beyond…….And our Brand tagline says it all……Go For It! because we all have the ability to inspire Greatness in what we do.

It is this pursuit for Greatness that then allowed us to create and launch the NCBA Golf Series in 2022 where 18 tournaments were held, 2 in Uganda and 16 in Kenya. The series includes a Junior Golf Series in partnership with US Kids Golf that brought together over 200 junior Golfers representing over 13 nationalities. In deed we must continue to develop and support young talent that will become our route to Greatness in future tournaments in Uganda, the region and indeed globally. 

This year, as we continue to pursue Greatness, the first tournament of the series was held in July at the Uganda Gold Club, Kitante and today’s, is the penultimate event that will lead to the Series Finale to be held on 1^st December 2023 at the Sigona Golf Club in Nairobi.    

I encourage the winners today to continue with their pursuit for Greatness in the final series in Nairobi and wish them well in their preparation for this event. To all the passionate golfers who did not win today, I urge you to continue to sharpen their skills and to support our colleagues who stand the best chance to win the series.

I also take this occasion to express my gratitude to our sponsors who added colour to this event. First and foremost, I would like to extend our deepest thanks to our Hole-in-One sponsors, World Navi. Your sponsorship has added a thrilling dimension to our tournament.

Next, special mention goes out to our invaluable partners, ICEA Insurance. Your contribution has elevated the stakes and your dedication to ensuring the success of this event has been nothing short of exemplary. Your presence here today reassures us that we are in capable hands, and we thank you for your unwavering support.
