The new layout has five tee-boxes for each hole; with Blue for professionals, then White, Red and Yellow. The fifth tee-box is meant for juniors/kids. The tee-box #1 is now starting from the slope going to down from the club house, near the old green for hole #1, and going across the valley for a 154-yard par 3.
The two new fairways that are introduced are for hole #6 which is a 427-yard par 4 going upto the highest point in the golf course passing a pond on the left as you tee off, and a snake-like stream flowing all the way to the pond on the left. Hole #7, the second new hole, is 184-yard par 3 and one of the challenging par 3s with both a steep slope on the left and a very heavy rough with a lot of pine trees on the right. Lugazi Hills Golf Course hole number 3 boasts the longest 702-yard par 5 fairway in the whole of Africa.
The course has beautiful gardens and you may be surprised by some peacocks on the greens especially on green #18. There is also a nature walk surrounded by different kinds of fruit trees, water bodies and artistic statues most of them depicting the life of the Buddha, built within the golf course for the enjoyment of both golfers and non-golfers accompanying players.
The club arranges free coaching and training for all junior boys and girls within the local community.
